Terms & conditions of service
Short, because the important parts are simple and we would rather you actually read them.
Quotes and pricing
The prices published on this website are real and current. You receive a firm quote by phone before a technician is dispatched, including any after-hours surcharge. That quote is what you pay for the work described.
If, on arrival, the job proves materially different from what was described — a different lock type, additional doors, a security grade that changes the work — we stop, explain the difference, and re-quote. No work proceeds at a price you have not agreed to.
Proof of ownership
We require proof that the property or vehicle is yours before opening anything: photo identification together with a document connecting you to the address or vehicle, such as a lease, utility bill, registration or insurance. This applies to every job without exception. If it cannot be provided, we will not perform the work, and no charge applies.
Non-destructive methods
We open locks without damage wherever it is technically possible. Where drilling or other destructive entry is genuinely the only option, we tell you before beginning and quote the cost of replacement hardware at the same time.
Warranty
Parts and labor carry a 12-month warranty against defects in the work or the hardware we supplied. It does not cover damage, misuse, forced entry after the fact, or work performed by others on the same hardware.
Payment
Payment is due on completion. We accept cards. A locksmith who insists on cash only is a warning sign, which is precisely why we do not.
Licensing
Los Angeles Locksmith holds California license LCO 6801, issued by the California Bureau of Security & Investigative Services. We will provide it on request, and we encourage you to verify it.
