Why we won't promise you fifteen minutes
Los Angeles is roughly 500 square miles and our service area reaches twenty miles past downtown. A van that is genuinely fifteen minutes from Echo Park is not fifteen minutes from Torrance, and no dispatch system changes that.
So we do it differently. You tell us where you are, we tell you where the nearest van is and what the traffic looks like right now, and you get a real window. Sometimes that's fifteen minutes. On a Friday at 6pm heading west, it isn't, and we'd rather you know that and decide than sit on a curb watching a promise expire.

What to do while you wait
If you're locked out of a car with a child or a pet inside, hang up and call 911 first. That is not a locksmith call and no reputable locksmith will tell you otherwise. Same if you feel unsafe where you're standing.
Otherwise: check every other door and window before you pay anyone, including the back door and the garage. It sounds obvious. It works often enough that we tell every caller to do it, even though a found-open door means we don't get the job.
After-hours pricing, stated before we drive
Nights, weekends and holidays cost more. That's true of every trade, and pretending otherwise is exactly how the bait-and-switch works — advertise a daytime price, arrive at midnight, invent a surcharge on the doorstep.
We tell you the after-hours number on the phone at the moment you call. The price you agree to at 2am is the price on the invoice at 3am.

Yes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week including holidays. A person answers — not a call center taking a message.
Do you charge just to come out?
No. The quote you get on the phone is for the completed job. We are not a 'cheap service call' operation — that advertised number is a hook rather than a price, and it's the single most reliable warning sign in this industry.
My key snapped off in the lock. Is that an emergency job?
It's usually a same-visit fix, and in most cases the lock survives it intact. Don't try to fish it out with pliers or glue — that's how a straightforward extraction turns into a full lock replacement. Call and we'll quote the extraction on the phone.
Can you get into a car with the keys locked inside?
Yes, non-destructively in the overwhelming majority of cases. Bring registration or insurance in your name and matching ID.
How fast can you really be here?
Tell us your cross streets and we'll tell you honestly — including when the answer is longer than you'd like. We would rather lose the job than win it on a number we can't hit.
